Hey, it's hyunjuny

My love language is sharing food with others. The Korean term, shikku (식구), comes from Chinese characters that translate to "mouths to feed; members of a family." Growing up, I never experienced the family dynamic of sitting together at a dining table - experiences like talking about each other's days or possible nights where dad upset mom, so everyone at the table is quiet. However, I was able to see my mother prepare meals for each of her family members, prepared to their liking, purely out of love. Even in her last days where it was hard to stand, I woke up to her sitting on the ground, cutting ingredients to prepare a warm and comforting dish - a meal I will never forget. I wanted to continue her legacy by bringing a sense of love, comfort, and health into many homes - the same way my mother did for her loved ones.
